"Finding gratitude and appreciation is key to resilience” -SHERYL SANDBERG,COO,FACEBOOK Imagecredit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheryl_Sandberg This couldn't have come at the right time. I can read this again and again .. MUST READ GUYS !! Sheryl Sandberg, the chief operating officer of Facebook and author of “Lean In,’’ delivered the commencement speech at the University of California, Berkeley, on Saturday. Below is an edited version of her remarks. I am not here to tell you all the things I’ve learned in life. Today I will try to tell you what I learned in death. One year and 13 days ago, I lost my husband, Dave. His death was sudden and unexpected. We were at a friend’s 50th birthday party in Mexico. I took a nap. Dave went to work out. What followed was the unthinkable — walking into a gym to find him lying on the floor. Flying home to tell my children that their father was gone. Watching his casket being lowered into the ground. For many months afterward, and at man

Shikakai,reetha and amla diy shampoo!!

Image
I love doing DIYs(do it yourself) ,this is one of the shampoos I started using after I experienced a lot of hair loss a few years back. Initially I started using it 2-3 times a week for about 6 months , then i got lazy and decreased it to once per week, mostly in the weekend because it involves lot of work, keep reading, you will know why I'm saying this. You need to be very patient with it since your hair is used to market bought shampoos, give your hair sometime to adjust with the No-poo(no shampoo) trend. It might not show results immediately, such is the case with every homemade remedy. I am a follower of rati's blog imbb(Indian makeup and beauty blog) , i took this recipe from imbb, there are many bloggers who have their own shikakai recipe, and it's all the same with little difference here and there. Let's see the benefits of reetha, shikakai and amla : Reetha or soapnuts: Reetha, also known as soap nut, is a round wrinkly fruit with a round black hard nut inside. R

Its a honour to feature this story .. As I said in my previous post ..I Neva had to face any situation where people made fun of my complexion... I was very fortunate ...but there some dusky girls out there.. Who had to face shrewd comments and still came out stronger .. Says http://thesoup.website  writer meera ganapathi.. "I have no trauma attached to growing up with dark skin. However, there were evidences all around me. In school I'd see light yellow faces betray nights of thickly applied turmeric or cakey talcum powder. Personally, I wasn't really aware of my skin colour, maybe because my family never cared and I'm grateful for that because that is exactly how a young girl's life should be. Only at 21, when I moved to fairly liberal Mumbai, did I first hear the term 'dusky&
